USC Holdings Corporation Completes the Expansion and Modernization of its Round Can Production Line at the Baytown Facility

Baytown, Texas — USC Holdings Corporation (USCHC) is proud to announce that it has completed the expansion and modernization of the round can production line at the company’s Baytown, Texas facility. The significant capital investment for the project will increase production capacity, enhance operational efficiency and safety, and deliver improved package quality for both current and prospective customers .

Built in 1998, the Baytown plant produces evaporated salt for a wide range of applications, including food and food processing, swimming pools, water softening, chemical manufacturing, and oilfield operations. The facility’s round can production line packages United Salt’s Flavor House® brand as well as private-label consumer products for leading national and regional grocery chains.

Consumer demand for table salt continues to increase year over year, with USCHC’s sales in this category experiencing considerable growth. This surge has been driven by increased at-home cooking trends, expansion of retail partnerships, and consistent consumer preference for dependable, high-quality salt products.

To keep pace with this momentum, the company has made a targeted investment in state-of-the-art equipment and automation systems designed to improve run-time efficiency, streamline changeovers, and increase total production capacity by more than 25%. In addition, the upgrades will include enhanced safety systems and improved packaging consistency, ensuring a higher level of quality control from production through delivery.
